Most of us know first hand how social media can affect our habits. But can it really influence divorce?

A recent study published in the journal Computers in Human Behavior suggests that social media use correlates with divorce rates. The data used in the study was taken from states’ divorce rates and their number of Facebook users per capita.

The researchers admitted that this study alone could not make a solid link between Facebook use and divorce, but they said that it might be the subject of further studies.

Of course, the causes of divorce are complex and usually can’t be pinned down to just one factor like social media use. The attorneys at The Roberts Law Firm know how difficult divorce can be.
